Why I'm starting this notebook.

May 15, 2026

I am starting this notebook because I cannot keep up with what is happening in AI, and I suspect you cannot either. So instead of pretending I have it figured out, I am going to learn out loud.

For ten years, Resource Global has run on donor generosity. That works, but it is not sustainable as we move toward our goal of 25 cohorts in global cities by 2030. My dream has been to build a for-profit company that funds Gospel work, so we are not dependent on fundraising forever. AI feels like the moment where this becomes possible for a small team with the right idea.

So this Notebook is the public side of that work. Each Friday I share what is changing in the world of AI, what it might mean for the Gospel, and one product idea worth stewarding.

What you can expect.

A short read each Friday. Some weeks will be heavier on news, other weeks heavier on ideas. I will share the tools I am using, the patterns I am seeing, and the questions I am wrestling with. Some of it will be wrong. That is part of learning out loud.

I write the way I talk: conversational, sometimes too long, and always honest about what I do not know yet.

One thought to start.

AI is the most powerful technology of our generation. The question is no longer whether it will reshape the world. It will. The question is whether the church, the cohort, and the leaders God has called us to influence will be ready to use it well.

"Stewardship" is the word I keep coming back to. We have been given much. The question is how we will use it.

So that is the project. A Friday notebook. A small attempt to think clearly about AI and what it could mean for Kingdom work. I am grateful you are here. If you have thoughts, ideas, or want to build something together, my email is tommyplee@gmail.com.

See you next Friday.
